With a passion for wellness and a healthy lifestyle, Rich shares his insights on what it means to be "well," especially in the second part of life. He believes that through proper nutrition, exercise, mindfulness and great style, we can all live our lives to the fullest and erase the misconception that at a certain age we've passed our prime. As far as he's concerned, with a little effort, and a lot of fun, we can always be at our prime!

Rich is not a born athlete and fitness was not a part of his regular routine growing up. Shedding 50 pounds before his senior year in high school slowly opened his eyes to the benefits of healthier living. However, it wasn't until he trained for and ran his first New York City marathon at age 32 that he truly embraced exercise and nutrition as a lifelong practice.

Rich's own path to healthy living underscores his fervent belief that we don't have to be supermen and superwomen to appreciate the importance of wellness, and we shouldn't be intimidated by making positive lifestyle changes. Rich's message is unfailingly inclusive and welcoming, and always strives to meet people where they are in life. He finds great pleasure in lifting people up and cheering them on, and he eagerly shares what he's learned about what's been effective, enjoyable and sustainable on his own journey to health and happiness. "In the simplest terms, we just need to keep moving, be the best we can be and be amazed at how far we can go," he says. "You don't have to be an incredible athlete to be well."

Today, Rich's fitness routine is decidedly eclectic and takes him from regular sessions with his personal trainer to a number of the best boutique studios where he enjoys boot camp workouts, boxing, spinning and yoga. He's known for his infectious enthusiasm and is the first one to "hoot and holler" in every class. When it comes to nutrition, he's devoted to preparing food that not only provides optimal fuel for his workouts, but is also delicious! As an avid traveler, he has learned how to take this health-focused lifestyle on the road, whether that means packing sneakers for a run, making smart food choices, working out in the hotel gym or finding a new boutique fitness studio to try. Last but not least, through his extensive travels and long-time residency in New York City, Rich has been surrounded by the best fashion, food and culture, and truly believes that feeding the mind and spirit is as important as feeding the body.
